ORFELIN SCHOOL
Vocational school „Zaharija Stefanovic Orfelin“ is a private school verified by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. Curricula are prescribed for the areas of health and social work; trade, hospitality and tourism; economics, law and administration; mechanical engineering and metalworking, geodesy and civil engineering, as well as personal services. The school works according to the programs prescribed by the Ministry of Education. The diplomas of our school are recognized and in rank with the diplomas obtained in state schools.
The school was originally founded as a private high school for health and beauty care, „Professional“ and as such began working on June 9, 2005, by the decision no. 022-05-107 / 2005-03 of the Ministry of Education. By the decision of the Commercial Court in Belgrade of March 6, 2013, the school changes its name and today it is called the Secondary Vocational School „Zaharija Stefanović Orfelin“. The new name was given after the Serbian enlightener, historian and poet, Zaharija Stefanovic Orfelin (1726-1785). As it is today!
The goal of our school is to support and respect the diversity and individuality of each student. Mistakes are allowed because they lead to unique solutions. With all the challenges we face, we do not reform education, we transform it. The key to this transformation is not to standardize education, but to personalize it, to encourage the discovery of individual talents of each child, to introduce learners into an environment in which they want to learn and where they can naturally discover their interests, skills and values. By an individualized approach, working in small groups, we encourage and direct the growth and development of our students.
The school is located in the city center as part of the business system „ĐURO SALAJ“ AD which has a 70 years long tradition in education.
